In 2004, Nacional Iguatemi hired us for the creation of the brand for a joint venture they were undertaking with GGP, the second-largest shopping center group in the USA at that time.
We created the name for the company, Aliansce, which is an acronym for “Aliança Nacional de Shopping Centers” (National Shopping Centers Alliance). Following that, we designed the logo, which featured both the logotype and a symbol with two interlocking rings, representing alliances. The blue color symbolized Nacional Iguatemi, while the green represented GGP.
After 6 months, we were pleasantly surprised when the Nacional Iguatemi group, after 40 years of existence, changed its name to Aliansce, giving the new brand tremendous visibility. Since then, Aliansce has been standardizing the brands of its shopping centers, integrating the “alliances” into the logos of the shopping centers.
