Name Creation Process

The first step is understanding a company’s business, its products and services, benefits, differentiators, its founders, origins, and most importantly, the brand’s values and personality.

From there, key concepts are established to guide the research of words, expressions, roots, and terms in other languages, which will serve as input for the creative process.

The Name of the Brand and the Company Logo

The creation of the logo comes after the creation of the brand’s name. In some cases, a company may request an adaptation of their current logo with a new name, retaining the symbol, but we can say that these are exceptions. However, during the process, one aspect we evaluate is the visual strength of a name, as this will be essential for the logo creation.

Our methodology, or rather, our Aldeia naming ritual, leads to a deluge of name options as vast as the creative paths we explore. We carefully analyze each one, assessing their alignment with the values defined by the company and which of them best meet the aesthetic and comprehension criteria. To check if a brand name already exists, we search the INPI (brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property) website and verify this “short list” to ensure there won’t be any problems with the name registration.
